The family traveled during the hottest part of the summer. Plants became stressed and weeds multiplied.
The owners have a beautiful rose garden and also enjoy minimalist Zen style landscapes.
Some of the plants were receiving too much sun and require relocation.
The Result:
The Result:
We divided the yard into three zones. The rose garden took on a cottage garden look and the other two areas were redesigned to be Zen with rocks and evergreen plants.
LANDSCAPE BEFORE
This custom design moved some of the roses, a hydrangea and others to locations where they could thrive. Dwarf gardenias & Angelonias were added along the street because they can take the sun. The passion vine was relocated to adorn the arch as it was smothering other plants.
Below, a water feature with a weeping Japanese Maple, hydrangea, and creeping Juniper make a peaceful stop in the garden.
Below, a Japanese lantern is a great focal point next to the Yew tree. More creeping Juniper, mondo grass and rocks inspire peaceful contemplation.

A peaceful, private retreat with lots of color and an oasis for the family to hang out and roast hotdogs & s'mores on fall evenings.

This custom tropical landscape design transformed a new backyard pool into a private outdoor retreat with palms, colorful tropical plantings, a cabana, outdoor kitchen, and evening landscape lighting. The top image used my CAD drawing below and AI enhanced everything to appear more realistic.
Below, A fire pit area for s'mores and hotdogs makes a lovely family gathering spot for this sanctuary in Cantonment.

A winding path thru their garden with lots of colorful plants to attract pollinators and no grass to mow. In the front, a Little Gem Magnolia and Japanese Maple book end the home creating stunning focal points for this Bayshore area home.

A colorful WOW landscape for this corner lot that the clients love. It suits their whimsical style.

The couple has a whimsical style and likes color. I used orange Azaleas at the corners and radican Gardenias under the windows (mature height is 2 ft. tall). We left the tall Podocarpus between the windows. On the side, we added a Japanese Maple tree and two blue flowering Chaste trees to compliment the Agapanthus in this Charter Oaks neighborhood home.

Added an outdoor kitchen island with dining under the pergola and a cozy L-shaped seating area with a firepit table. making a functional and beautiful entertaining space for this Bellevue area home. A paved path with floral borders captivate guests as they arrive. Below, the corner focal point includes a Japanese Maple & Black-eyed Susans.

This Scenic Heights client wanted an Italian Piazza. She got one including a dining area with a pergola and chandelier as well as a second seating area. Below, The fountain is a great focal point. Italian Cypress, a vine covered arbor and an olive tree all add to the Mediterranean style.

This project was for a couple of bachelors who needed splashes of color without many flowers.

This white home with black trim screamed for some color. Red seemed to be a natural fit. I used red caladiums & easy care Florida perennials as well as other shrubs for this Avondale home. The owner loves, loves, loves the fire pit area surrounded by red crape myrtles. A perfect place for a beer or cocktail after work.

The concrete deck around the pool was cracking and needed replaced. The existing wooden fence was rotting and overgrown with vines.

Replace wood fence with an attractive metal one.
Add more lounge seating areas and "bump outs" for adult conversation
Easy care, low maintenance design.

A great summer retreat for 3 generations and their friends.

The new pool deck provides "bump outs" for adult conversation areas away from the kids, allowing everyone to enjoy pool time in this Creekwood area home. The above image was AI enhanced from he CAD drawing below to provide better graphics.
In the CAD drawing below, the black metal fence is attractive and keeps both kids & pets where they are safe. The shed houses yard tools & equipment. The crape myrtles add charm and are far enough away to keep the leaves out of the pool.

The roses arenot thriving causing an unattractive focal point. Most of the shrubs were very structured and the client was seeking softness and plants that swayed in the breeze.

A trellis behind the solar fountain with star jasmine that smells heavenly.

Option A: Lots of Agapanthus with Rose of Sharon (hardy Hibiscus) and yellow Gerber Daisies
Option B: Gardenia bushes with soft grass that sways in the breeze and purple salvia.
Option C: Forsythia with soft grass that sways in the breeze, purple salvia and black-eyed Susan.

The client have a very busy life. Other priorities resulted in an overgrown and weed plagued landscape that needs refreshed.

Remove Mondo grass for a clean edge to flower beds.
Add potted Cypress trees & lavender by the pool.
More colorful plants in the front.
More raised beds to grow food on the side yard.
Mask the tree stump with a half barrel planter.

The yard looked much better and fresh mulch helped prevent future weeds. The yard still needs new sod, and each client owns the project timeline and does it at their own pace.

This SW Pensacola home needed refreshed and some overgrown plants removed. This design provided a glow up.

The client had previously hired a contractor to replace the driveway & walkway with handsome charcoal grey pavers. The overgrown yard did not match.

The client had a small aversion to too much color, but she loved red Pentas and Blue Lilac. With those two colors as our foundation, we went with a classy red, white theme with a single blue lilac bush.
The Result:
The Result:
The red and white color scheme is classy for this East Hill neighborhood and looked great next to the charcoal walkway. Many of the chosen plants have lovely scents to elevate the experience.
LANDSCAPE BEFORE
This 1940s era East Hill home has new grey pavers for the drive and walk. Many of the shrubs were overgrown. It just needed a glow up and a personalized touch.
